Slow Stick

Updated Oct 16, 2011
In today's fast paced world, it's nice to be able to kick back and take it slow. Slow Stick Flyers offers all the fun and excitement of small-scale electric flight at a relaxing pace. We have several members flying these unique but challenging aircraft who conduct "friendly" regular competitions on Mondays.

Slow Stick models do not require much power but a great deal of finesse and flight control to keep the rudder/elevator controls balanced so it can remain at altitude and then conduct a precision landing in the center circle of the runway. Come out any day to watch these aircraft in action and especially on Monday for the fun and gamesmanship of the "friendly" competition.

Sightings from the Slow Stick Flyers as a flight of 4 get ready to do battle. In the picture are John Bikle and Don Starr.
